Artarmon is a railway station on the North Shore railway line and the Sydney Trains North Shore, Northern & Western Line in the residential suburb of Artarmon of Sydney, Australia. It serves the nearby Channel Nine TV studios near Willoughby.Artarmon is the 47th most patronised railway station in Sydney (out of a total of 176 stations), with an average of 5200 passengers boarding per day.ServiceThe station is served by eight trains per hour most of the time, with additional trains at peak hours . Originally, not all trains on the North Shore Line stopped at Artarmon, with some "fast" trains skipping from Chatswood directly to St Leonards and then on to North Sydney. In the 2009 timetable, most trains stop at Artarmon except for three morning peak services. An average of 8660 passengers use the station each weekday making it the 48th busiest station on the network.Station layoutThe rail line cuts through the middle of Artarmon, with only limited road access between the two sides. Access to Artarmon station is provided by a pedestrian tunnel with its west entrance situated slightly north of the intersection of Hampden Road and Broughton Road and its east entrance at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Tindale Road.
